AIR
MOVEMENT & CONTROL
ASSOCIATION
Being an AMCA member and having AMCA certified fans are not
the same. Any company can be a member of AMCA but only fans that have actually
been tested and passed the AMCA USA laboratory testing are certified.
Air
Movement and Control Association, International (AMCA) is an international association
of fan and air control equipment manufacturers. Its headquarters is based in
Illinois, USA and houses the AMCA staff and testing facilities.
AMCA
maintains a Directory of Licensed Products wherein all manufacturers with their
particular licensed products are listed. This program provides the specifiying
consultants and buyer the best assurance available that the product will perform
according to catalogued performance ratings.
Niagara
is the first Philippine fan company to be accepted as member of the Air Movement
& Control Association International (AMCA); and subsequently the first Philippine
fan company to have its fans certified by AMCA for its air performance.

The
most important function of AMCA is the AMCA CERTIFIED RATINGS PROGRAM. This
program certifies that the fan performance ratings in the manufacturer’s
catalogues are based on tests conforming to an appropriate AMCA standard. All
catalogues containing certified ratings are submitted to the AMCA technical
staff for approval before publication. Tests are conducted in the AMCA technical
laboratory in Illinois, USA.
